I don't think my sone would have graduated HS without OL school. He had ADHD and even with the local school systems portal, half his teachers didn't update it and he was frequently, simply not doing the work. Even when I followed up with them in person, it was challenging to even follow their expectations. OL school gave him and us the structure to keep him on task.
My daughter actually instigated the OL schooling, even though she didn't really have any issues (she likes shiny new objects). She started out okay, then she started drifting, and we decided to send her back to regular school. She thrived more in that environment.
