I remember one time in math class

The first day. The teacher gave us a paper with random things to do. Number one said write your name. And 2 said read the directions. And me, being a good student, read the directions and the last line said. After you read the directions raise your hand to let the teacher know you are done. I do this and the teachers like 🤫 I'm like ok. So I watched the whole class do ridiculous things like pat their head and rub their stomach while I'm trying to keep from laughing lol

It's what we did with all our final year students before they took their exams at 16. It taught them to read the paper through before beginning. Even at 'A' `level (18+) I found students trying to answer too many questions in their 'mock' exams. 🤦‍♀

@FreddieUK I'm pretty sure I was in 6th grade at the time.

@pride49 I would have commended you in front of the class - I hope that happened.

I have heard a variation of that test…Which was very long and I think timed too. And it said read all the directions first before starting the test. And the last direction said something like, “If you’ve gotten here and not answered any questions on the test then good job, raise your hand and the teacher will collect your test and you will receive 100% on it for following directions!”
