I agree, except kids here have to compete with kids from around the world. Kids in many countries spend far more time in school as well as more time studying. I am not sure those kids are happier, or developing more fully as people, but I am concerned that they are pulling way ahead of western kids. When I hear kids speaking, and every second word is "like" I think that their education and their time spent reading and doing homework might be lacking. I also wonder what kids do with their spare time if they are not doing homework? I would certainly challenge the notion that they are using their time to be kids, especially if they are staring at computer or TV screens. Time is only valuable if they use it wisely.
