I agree… it’s a struggle when my daughter gets home to get her to focus on homework. She is in second grade, and just spent the whole day on best behavior in a very structured environment and paying attention/absorbing new information, then using that information on school work.
It’s a lot once she’s home and feels she can let loose, to then ask her to reign it all in again to sit and do some MORE work.
I get the point of homework and the projects, but it is a lot for them. I know the homework helps them practice and even study for tests (spelling homework helps her memorize the words for test on fridays).
