Do you think kids should have homework?

after spending 8 hours a day five days a week sitting in class doing work, I don't think they should. They need time to be kids too. It's important for development. Yes, a kardashian just said this and I'm agreeing and repeating here. lol.

I agree… it’s a struggle when my daughter gets home to get her to focus on homework. She is in second grade, and just spent the whole day on best behavior in a very structured environment and paying attention/absorbing new information, then using that information on school work.

It’s a lot once she’s home and feels she can let loose, to then ask her to reign it all in again to sit and do some MORE work.

I get the point of homework and the projects, but it is a lot for them. I know the homework helps them practice and even study for tests (spelling homework helps her memorize the words for test on fridays).
