Good intentions

Daughter went back to school on Tuesday and we were off to a great start. Bag packed the night before. Hair neatly done and uniform immaculate. She was ready half an hour before I was and practically pushed me out of the door in her eagerness to get to morning classes 😊

By Friday morning . . daughter still in her pyjamas at 8.30am. Hair a fright. Books scattered to the four winds. Half-heartedly asks me for a note to get out of swimming on account of it being "too cold".

So normality restored. Just so long as I know where I stand 🙂

Do you remember being a kid at that age? Sometimes I wonder how we ever made it through life. You're a great mom. She's a great kid.

@PoetryNEmotion I was far too good and studious at her age, and would probably irritate my adult self. Perhaps I seek to live vicariously through her cheerful disorder and mischievous sense of humour . . she rarely disappoints!
@SunshineGirl Kids these days have more freedom. That is true. We never did. I do appreciate freedom since I got it.
