What are your thoughts about a child telling a principal what she need to do?

Ok, so a child was in the principals office at school and I principal was talking and they interrupted her and said “Well, then you need to talk to him!” And the principal laughed and said right, I do need to talk to him.

It depends on how old the child is. The child’s words can’t do any harm, because the child has no power there. So the only problem is that interrupting people is rude.

If the child is old enough to understand that, then I might scold the child for interrupting. If they’re old enough that I know they know better, then I’ll punish them when we get home.

If the principal doesn’t seem to be offended, then I won’t scold them until we’re alon, and I might not punish them.
