Not really. I was friends with a couple of popular kids in high school but I never considered myself one of the popular kids. I mostly hung around the average crowd.

Well yes but not trend wise, i was just very talkative, loud and cracked jokes while also being very friendly. I got to know a lot of kids in my schools but only hung out with a small group and my other friends would stop by and visit. I loved hs and it was a great escape from home, now I only talk to a couple of friends from then and keep my socials private.
I lived in Nerd City in high school.
LilPrincess · 41-45, F
Never in a clique. I was the overly smart kid with a 4.0.

Nah, I was the odd kid who was friends with whomever from whatever group they came from.

I guess I was "mysterious" or whatever, I played guitar and was always the new kid at school from moving around so much.
No, but I did my best to introduce all the shy nerdy kid to one another so that we could band together and pretend we all had friends.
robertsnj · 56-60, M
I was not. Got zoned into a school of wealthier kids. Did not wear polo shirts or Izod. my neighors and I (was not a lot of us) were percieved (and maybe accuracy to it) as white trash.

I think if I wasn't zoned into a wealthy area maybe could have been more popular, but hard to say.

Ironically got access to things in high-end schools get access to / in the long run probably made out like a bandit from the rezone.

also, wasnt a student athlete. That probably makes a difference.
Tyler20 · 22-25, M
I would say probably yes but sometimes no because my dad was the principal so a lot of people thought I got off easy or special treatment but that was never the truth

Not really cool. Football captain, letters in basketball, baseball, and track. Graduated # 1 or 2 in my class. Editor of yearbook. Had a fantastic girlfriend (future wife).
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
Actually yes but in a good way. I was super nice and friendly to everyone and so everyone got to know and like me.

There was one bully though
sladejr · 56-60, M
Yes and no. I played varsity baseball which gave me some status

Most of my teamates were cool but I didn't hang out with them. I was more the nihilist punk rock crowd
Ducky · 31-35, F
Meh. My sister was popular and that was the only reason anyone paid attention to me. If not for her, no one would have noticed.
I got into a habit of finding the outcast troublemakers who spent an undue amount of time partying. So, yeah... 😀
Piper · 61-69, F
No, not really. Some of the kids I considered "cool" liked and sort of befriended me though, for some reason.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Not at all. I had my circle of friends and didn't care much about other people.
Strongtea · 22-25, M
I was really popular yes. That has changed quite a bit now though.
YoungPoet345 · 26-30, F
I was the coolest kid ever to attend and no one knew it. 😆

No. I was the quiet kid who sat alone and read books.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
Categorically no.

Laughably so not.
Nope, it’s just me and my bff.
Umile · 41-45, F
Smh.

The quiet, odd, bookworm type.
MaryJo1996 · 26-30, F
Absolutely not. 🤣🤣
I was a jock.
No. I was a music nerd.
Vin53 · M
@bijouxbroussard Did you go to band camp? *snicker*
@Vin53 Actually, no. I played violin in the school orchestra, their string quartet, piano with the jazz band, Glee club. I was also an accompanist for the drama department.
