Got thoughts on public education?

I work in the system as a substitute teacher, for two counties in the state of Florida. (Which has some of the best public schools in the country.)

Public education is a vital cog in society.

(1) It needs to be funded generously
(2) The status of teachers needs to be boosted and parents shoukd realise that they are not fulltime babysitters.
(3) The curriculum should be removed from the political and religious arenas altogether. Educational freedom is a necessity.
