Is your choice of clothing affecting your ability to learn? No? Then it's suitable for school.

@JosephineFox thank you 🤗

@JosephineFox Teachers who cannot teach unless their students are dressed in a particular way, are just incompetent. We need to get rid of them to make way for those who can do the jobs they're paid to do.
@jshm2 Ah bless 😘

@JosephineFox foolish and selfish thought process; this will surely interfere with the ability of others to learn
Lynda70 · F
@th3r0n How will a student's choice of attire affect other students' ability to learn?
Lynda70 · F
@jshm2 You have no idea what you're talking about. Schools in mainland Europe get by very well without stupid uniform rules or pointless dress codes.
th3r0n · 41-45, M
@Lynda70 if women dress half naked, it's really distracting
Lynda70 · F
@th3r0n Maybe but the person in the picture isn't half naked.
th3r0n · 41-45, M
@Lynda70 I don't think a skirt that short is really appropriate, do you?
th3r0n · 41-45, M
I would be upset if I had a daughter or girlfriend or especially wife going out dressed like that

There is much worse, but this is already a little much

Don't get me wrong, she looks amazing, but that kind of thing is Best kept for the husband that she finds someday
Lynda70 · F
@th3r0n I disagree, I don't see anything wrong with it.
Sharon · F
@Lynda70 Neither do I.

@JosephineFox it's affecting others' abilities to learn or focus. You're sharing a space with others. The world isn't just about you
Sharon · F
@hdiddle The others need to learn to focus regardless of what others are wearing. They don't apply the same restrictions to teachers' appearances.
hdiddle · 26-30, M
@Sharon yes, they do apply the same restrictions to teachers.

You are free to go around with the attitude that others need to adapt to your whims instead of all being mindful of each other. Don't be surprised if people don't take you seriously
Sharon · F
@hdiddle It's not like that here in the UK. School children are subjected to extremely draconian uniform rules, right down to the precise shade of their socks (obtainable at exorbitant prices exclusively from the school's "official supplier") while teachers dress just as they please. Chilren's hairstyles are often strictly specified too while the teachers have multi-coloured hair in what would be "extreme styles" if worn by the children.

If I'm expected to adapt to others' whims, they can reciprocate by showing me the same respect by adapting to mine.
hdiddle · 26-30, M
@Sharon That only works if you have authority over them. Or you could not go to a private school...
Sharon · F
@hdiddle Who said anything about private schools? I'm referring to state schools, where the (head)teachers strut around their little empires like petty dictators - until they're slapped down by the courts when parents take legal action. Thankfully I left school a long while ago.
