First Day of School

the moment she saw some of her friends (the ones she doesn't see outside of school or on .rare occasions because two of her classmates actually live in my complex), before she could get out of the car, those kids running at my car like she was a celebrity. yelling and screaming her name. so she jumps out, gives them hugs. "we missed you, we missed you" and all of that.
made me miss that same innocence when I was a kid. she says, "hold on guys" and gives me this look, and says, "I love you Dad". random tear-jerker. I watched her run along telling her friends about her summer. yeah, I definitely need to get my shit together because moments like those are priceless.
