I threw a paper dart

In a moment of mischief I threw a paper dart to my friend which contained a note with sassy remarks on it. Unfortunately it was intercepted by the teacher who sent me to the office with his own note. When I returned I found that sitting on those hard chairs was somewhat of a problem!

In my school, in the first half of the 1970s, we were more likely to throw pencils, erasers (we called them rubbers, no longer for obvious reasons), books and - occasionally - one another around the class.

The sanctions were much the same.
