Do you think school curriculum should include training on emotional strength?

I believe it is very important. It will help children to some extent.

I take my son out of school early once a week to go see a therapist. Time just for him to express himself, an adult that cares, and also to show him that school, perfect attendance and grades aren’t as important as his total well being.

I will say schools are not great at all for mental health. Unless they are a problem child, they get ignored.

No. You learn emotional strength by life experiences, backed by a solid and nurturing foundation in your family life and environment. As long as children are not mocked and teachers encourage rather than disparage, it is not something you teach formally.

Better to at least try than not bother re this subject that could change the negative dynamics in future generations to come.
