Homework is supposed to be done at home

One of the main reasons for me fostering a pre-teen at the weekends is so that she has a quiet space of her own to study away from her shared accommodation. But couldn't interest her much in that idea during our first full weekend together 🙄

Driving back to the childrens home at 4.30pm on Sunday, she suddenly decided there was no way she could do it in her shared bedroom. So we took a detour to my place of work and spent a slightly surreal two hours sat at my desk doing maths, French and geography.

Got a text from her this afternoon. Apparently I need to polish up on my French vocabulary before attempting to 'help' again 🤦‍♀️

I don't think teenagers really understand the sacrifices that some adults make for them. All she has to do is a bit of homework and all you have to do is... A lot more.

@Burnley123 We had a very busy first weekend together and we were all a bit disorganised. Next weekend she's staying three nights so hopefully we'll get it cracked 🙂
