What is your opinion about having a 4 day school week?

Our school district is attempting to combat teacher burn out and shortage. They are proposing to start the school year a week early and increase the school day M-Th by 30 minutes. Supposedly the same school hours will be met. Would this work for your family?

I can see it being harder for some families. Nor helping the teachers much because they will still have the load of lesson-preparations and homework marking. I suppose they could do that in the school buildings on those off-days, though, as if in offices, as they'd be free of distractions and time-tables.

It might make time-tabling difficult too.
