School is good

11 yo niece phoned me shortly before nine yesterday evening. She was exhausted after a full day and homework, but basically had a good first day at school. She got to every lesson on time and there are a couple of teachers she likes. When she dropped her pencil box in the corridor, a couple of older prefect boys helped her to pick her things up and protect her from being trampled, so she is a bit starry eyed 😍 She found herself in one of the larger groups at lunchtime and she has already made a couple of friends who weren't at her old school. She didn't have trainers for PE in the afternoon, but by that stage she was already confident and happy enough not to stress out 🙂
She is coming for a sleepover this weekend to tell us more 🤗
