I had bad teachers as a kid

I didn't think of it as being weird at the time, but looking back its so ridiculous and strange

I once tried to steal a toy from this girl
Which yes was stupid but i was like 8?

And when i got caught the teachers reactions were to NEVER let me go outside for recess and instead i had to write down reasons it ended up in my bag if i didn't do it
, AND on top of that, they told the entire grade and classes that i did it

Like... that seems so excessive and irresponsible to me, looking back on it.
Embarrassing a child like that doesn't seem right. They shouldn't have told everyone like that because people brought it up to me years later as an insult
