whats with schools bringing in Drag Queens to read to children?

What the hell has happened to the education system? How did it get to this point?

“Self-acceptance and self-love are what lead me to do drag. Once I learned how to embrace my femininity, I wanted to explore that and express it in a creative way. Drag is the perfect outlet for me to do so. Through DQSH, I hope to be a positive, queer role model for kids. It’s important kids know that it’s okay to be different. Diversity is part of what makes humanity beautiful, and I’m just one example or facet of what that looks like.”

Coming from the fact that most drag queens aren't serial child offenders, I'm fine with it. This is only ever not okay if you believe the phobic myth that all drag queens somehow want your child to sacrifice to the ancient Gods. I know that one person shared that one pic of that drag queen with an inappropriate outfit, even though I would say that's my limit because having a short skirt like that isn't appropriate but other than that, I'm fine with it. I also wanted to make one thing clear, the picture that was shared assumes they did it on purpose rather than having a photo taken at a moment where they may have briefly shifted in their seat. Phobic people's aim is to portray drag queens, the trans community and the LGBT communities in a certain light so that's just propaganda to me. It's something to negatively make people think a certain way about drag queens when that's hardly the reality. Sorry but I recognize propaganda, drag queens can't "force" children to become drag queens so this is all just outrage porn to me.
