@Torsten They probably have to pass the state and local background checks. And looks like she/he did...
From the one I saw, it was a local Library, and the parents and their children could come or go as they pleased.
So, yeah, I don't see an issue here other than you're uncomfortable, which is your right.
But if a local Library asks for volunteers, gets said volunteers that pass background checks and have parents approve of having their children being read to, especially when the parents are there (they're not just leaving their kids there), then there is no issue here.
Parents can have others read a book to their children.
