So I completed my first course on medical terminology.

I only need a 70% to pass, but I always like to challenge myself & get over 90%. I got 97%. 馃コ馃榿

My 2nd course starts this Saturday for 6 weeks, & then I鈥檓 done. 馃

oh my gosh that鈥檚 incredible you should be so proud of yourself!! my grandma went to medical school in her 60s and growing up hearing her talk about it was intimidating it鈥檚 such a tough path but you did awesome馃樅
marsbarF
@poisonouscupcake Thanks! 馃槆 But I鈥檓 not in medical school. I鈥檓 not smart enough for that. Lol. Nor am I that interested in it. I just want to work in the medical field, so learning medical terminology is important.
poisonouscupcake22-25, F
@marsbar it鈥檚 still just as hard and just as important!! you got this marsy馃馃挀馃挀

YAY!

So, I got this pain right here, that feels worse when I move this, but feels better when I rub it.

What is it called?
marsbarF
@JoyfulSilence A migraine? 馃槄
JoyfulSilence46-50, M
@marsbar It it not in my head.
thats a tough class...major?
marsbarF
@Experienced33 Thanks. It鈥檚 not super hard as long as you go to class, do the assignments & study, but there is a lot of memorization which I鈥檓 not too keen about. I鈥檇 rather write an essay honestly. Lol
@marsbar I'm not good at essays..
marsbarF
@Experienced33 I had to redo my ESL certification last year because the college that hired me wouldn鈥檛 accept my ESL certificate from Toronto from 1998, even though I had 20+ years of teaching experience by that point. So I spent $2500 to do it online. It was 5 courses, 7 weeks each. No tests. It was mostly essays, discussions & assignments. I hadn鈥檛 written an essay in 20 yrs, so I had to relearn it. I did well in those courses & got A鈥檚. So essays are my preference to tests & exams.

Good work. I studied medical terminology a long time ago. Can't remember how I did on it. 馃槃
marsbarF
@Rutterman Haha. I鈥檓 sure I鈥檒l forget a lot of it if I don鈥檛 get to use it. It鈥檚 like learning a new language. 馃槄

@marsbar Yep. Use it or lose it. 馃槑

@marsbar Haha, well, I am terrible with memorizing stuff, and I know anything related to medicine must have lots of stuff to memorize! I think you should be proud of yourself! 馃槃
marsbarF
@LookingForTheSummer Thanks. 鈽猴笍 I鈥檇 rather write an essay than memorize. 馃槄

@marsbar you're welcome. I love medical terminology; it's a whole language within itself.
marsbarF
@SW-User It is very interesting. Now I鈥檒l be able to understand some medical lingo. 馃榿

@MarmeeMarch That鈥檚 an important point. When you have to pay for things yourself, you tend to value it more.

@MarmeeMarch Yes. I鈥檓 glad my kids strive for A鈥檚, & they want this themselves, not because we鈥檙e pushing them for A鈥檚.
