If you never saw people kiss, would you know to do it in a romantic situation?

I cringe seeing people do kissing in public but there have been times in long distant past when I tried it. I double cringe seeing any kissing or making out or sex scenes on tv and usually get up to walk away. ;-) I never paid any attention to kissing as a kid and my parents were divorced early on so no family experience with seeing it.
