It was a friend's birthday. We decided to go out for drinks and listen to live music in order to celebrate. It's not normally my scene, but it was what she wanted and I was happy to oblige to make sure she got a memorable birthday to celebrate. After bar-hopping for a little bit, we end up in this quiet little bar that's winding down for the night.

They had these firepits out by the outdoor area and she decided to hang out there. A little while later, I have to go to the restroom, so I leave her by herself for a bit. When I get out shortly after, she was gone. Like she vanished into thin air. Our empty drinks were still on the table. I didn't think she'd ditch me, but that's how it seemed.

But I look to my right and she was sitting at the bar area. She had just gotten up to order another drink, probably a bad idea at this point, but whatever. You're not young forever. We go back to the firepit and she turns to face it. I decide to sit next to her because it was a nice view. After babbling for most of the night, it felt nice to just shut up and enjoy the ambiance for once.

The silence didn't last too long, because just as soon as we sat down, she turns her face up towards mine and I lean mine down towards hers. Soon enough, our faces meet and we're now making out beside the fire with plenty of booze coursing through our veins. The only word I can think of to describe it is 'magical'.

Even though our relationship would end up doomed, I still remember that night quite fondly.

Oh I was very young and nervous. He was a high school jock about 3 years older than me. I was in middle school. Haha But to this day I’ve never forgotten it. I was 16 and we were sitting at a bench by a park close to my home , it was may so it was fairly warm in Greece , late evening so quite dark, we were listening to slayer raining blood and it started raining ,tropical rains ,a minute in haha . Interesting… I was thinking about this recently — I think the new Top Gun movie spurred a memory. Teen dance at a little church hall: the song was Take My Breath Away. I should have married that girl.

My first kiss was in Kindergarten, we had a playhouse area in our class and Kenny and I kissed sort of hiding behind the little fridge.

First grade, in a little backyard shed. Her third grade sister insisted on watching. Which makes me think the big sister is now a member of this place, LOL.
