US Pie - bandcamp - all that jazz - flutes - condoms - Alyson Hannigan - wierd sexual stuff

Never watched any American Pie stuff and I've never understood the sexual references to that franchise other than Alyson Hannigan saying some now infamous lines relating to a flute, condoms, etc.

Is that seriously have young people in the USA 'learn' about sex?

Here in Australia the only movie I've heard of that has overt sex references like that is Puberty Blues (which makes me cringe and I can't watch it).
