@LordShadowfire Egypt had a good guy/bad guy relationship in both testaments. Giving refuge to Jacob and sons. Also to baby Jesus and family. But God didn’t stop the killing of innocent children by tyrants.

If you read the tale, more than once Pharaoh was willing. But it was God that "hardened his heart'.
