I recently re-read Genisis. Adam is really a dick to Eve. They bite the apple, so God comes down all angry and says OK who ate the apple. Adam, terrified, immediately throws Eve under the bus. He says "Eve bit it! OK, I did too, but I couldn't help it. Eve beguiled me with her female wiles, she made me do it. It's all her fault" They both get kicked out of Eden, and as a punishment to ALL WOMEN, God says they will henceforth bear children in pain and blood. A real charmer that Old Testament Jehovah. God and Adam are both lousy rotten cads in my book.
*Also, God could have warned them about the serpent. but no, he let the smooth snake talk Eve into trying the apple. That was unfair if you ask me.

He made the entire universe in six days, he couldn’t make one fence ?

It was a cruel trick. Apparently the temptation of the devil is nothing compared to the temptation set by Abraham’s god.

Genesis basically counters the claims that God is all knowing, God is omnipresent, God is omniscient, and God is omnipotent all in a few pages. The only way to hold an infallibility claim here is to suggest that God purposefully misled and tricked them while knowing full well what would happen.
But then again, works of fiction have the benefit of not always having to make sense.

Adam and Eve were not real people, they’re spiritual allegories referring to the conscious and subconscious mind
