I mean, have you looked at the human design? The trachea is right next to the esophagus, drastically increasing the chance of choking on our food. Everything depends on a functioning pancreas, without which you're basically screwed. In fact, no one organ is redundant except for the kidneys. I'd say that's a pretty screwed up model.
