Religion indoctrinates people far more than supposed left wing politics

Yet sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay.

Religion is nothing but man made philosophy. Religion did not die on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus did. He gives us a personal relationship with God.

@LadyGrace god is dead and we killed him
@Guitarman123 God is not dead.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@LadyGrace Nietzsche said otherwise
@Guitarman123 Good for Nietzsche. But he's not God and he doesn't have the final say-so nor authority God does. He's not smarter than God. Man-made philosophy throws us in the ditch, every time. I believe God over man's flawed reasoning, anytime!
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@LadyGrace Well seeing as evidence proves Nietzsche was a real person and no such evidence exists for God I'm gonna question that statement
@Guitarman123 There's more than enough evidence for God. The problem is, some people don't want to find God, for the same reason a thief doesn't want to find a cop. They're not wanting to find Him.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@LadyGrace no such thing as God, you're projecting your ideal vision onto a fictional character
@Guitarman123 Time will tell you, there is a God.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@LadyGrace history has told me that he either dosent exist or is a horrific person
@Guitarman123 Then you have misunderstood Him, if you don't know His character and why He does things. He is perfect and He is just. He doesn't make mistakes. He is incapable of error. And the things people accuse him of, he's not even guilty of.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@LadyGrace why would he let people he supposedly loved live horrific lives
@Guitarman123 What people? People make their own choices, some, very bad ones. That's not God's fault.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@LadyGrace victims of wars, victims of corrupt governments, victims of illnesses and viruses
@Guitarman123 We caused those.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@LadyGrace exactly and did God stop innocent bystanders from being harmed? No he let horrible human beings commit atrocious acts on those who didn't deserve it
@Guitarman123 I don't know if you're married or not but let me use this as an example. What better way to find out who really has their heart into you and loves you then to give them free will? You wouldn't force that person to love you would you? You would let them have their free will and do as they please. No one wants a Slave. No one wants a robot with no feelings to love them. Same way with God. He doesn't force himself on people. People show their true selves when they are given freedom. With man's evil nature, he decided he was going to go to war and as a result of his choice, innocent people were killed. That is on their head, not God's. With freedom comes responsibility. Individual responsibility. We reap what we sow. If we decide to destroy or hate or kill then we're going to reap the consequences along with it. God does not interfere with man's free will. That's because he wanted man to be responsible. A mature person is responsible for his actions and his health accountable. These people got hurt in the meantime but that was the people's fault who started the war. God does not interfere with man's decisions. He would never learn to mature nor accept responsibility and without laws, think how many more people would go crazy killing others, raping them, you name it. Consequences are there for good reason. People need boundaries. Otherwise, this world would really be in trouble if you think it's bad now. Horrible human beings commited atrocious acts on those who didn't deserve it, on their OWN. We can't blame God for man's mistakes. What if I robbed a bank and blamed you? We can't call that fair.
@Guitarman123 God is fair. Sin, is not. Sin causes people to do bad things, God told them not to do.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@LadyGrace if he was fair he wouldn't allow so much misery
@Guitarman123 as I mentioned, we can't blame God for the misery we have caused ourselves. God did not create sin. Sin is found in our nature and God doesn't force people to commit crimes. It is man that needs to get right with God and repent of his sins. If we were fair, we wouldn't blame God forever little thing that we are responsible for. God came in good faith and love to show us how to live the right way and to love others. Man chose not to do that. So what did they do to him? They hung him on a cross and there were over 500 people that witnessed this and his resurrection. Tell me that was fair to God. Fairness works both ways. Was it fair that because man decided to sin and separate himself from God, that Jesus had to come down from heaven and pay for our sins on the cross, so we could have spiritual fellowship with our Father in Heaven, again? We couldn't do it, because having sin already in us, we cannot forgive our own sins. It took a perfect sacrifice and that was Jesus who was not forced to pay for our sins but volunteered, mind you. He didn't have to do that, but he did and I think we should be grateful to him for that. Otherwise everyone would have went to hell. But when we ask Jesus for forgiveness, he is more than willing to forgive our sins and bring us back into good fellowship and right standing with him. Who do you know that would love you so much that they would die for you so that you could have eternal life in heaven? No one, that's who. This sure doesn't speak of someone who has hate for us or wants to condemn us. It speaks of someone who loved us so much he was willing to give up his own life so that we could have heaven and be with him forever. Or would we have preferred the alternative? I don't think so. Jesus deserves to be shown gratefulness instead of the hatefulness in this world.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@LadyGrace but isn't he supposed to love all people and want all people to love each other?
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@LadyGrace if their is a god then he's a disgusting evil individual
@Guitarman123 He does. He proved that on the cross, when he volunteered to pay our sin debt on the cross. He proved his love for us yet people turned him away. Not all, but some, yet he died for all even those who rejected him. God is love personified.

@LadyGrace then why does he ignore atrocious acts commited on innocent people or those who murder in his name
@Guitarman123 For what? There's two sides to a story and your perspective lacks understanding. Yes, he's really bad for wanting to save Souls and keep them out of hell. 🙄
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@LadyGrace how's letting innocent women and children suffer from die save their souls?
