Stop going. If anyone asks tell them you don't believe in the Mormon way anymore. You don't have to justify it just walk away. For several years before the pandemic 7th day Adventist would visit and talk to Vickie always trying to convince her that Jehovah was the Lords name. She would bluntly disagree yet they continued to come. I asked why don't you tell them to stop coming. She said they are nice ladies and it's fun confronting their challenge.
So if you get hassled and can't get away from the conversation do what she did and find an answer to the challenge that makes it fun for you rather then stress out.

I have Mormons in my family. You can quit two ways. You can go directly to your Bishop and tell him you want to leave the church permanently, OR you can write him a letter saying you want to leave the church permanently. You won't be allowed to come back if you join another church.

Is it really necessary? If you have engaged another belief system, then that is where your commitment now belongs and I accept you will need to formalise that. But if you have just quit believing in any kind of afterlife, then why waste time in a formal act of negation over something that doesnt exist in the first place?😷

Generally you can do something to get you excommunicated or whatever they call it for that religion. Generally folks just ignore it though. If you consider yourself out of it there isn't much they can do to force you to still participate.
