I'm a Pentecostal Christian but not the name-it claim-it type that fills up most of the churches in my area. That makes me a real misfit. According to their theology and their way of putting Bible verses together, faith would fix the (mostly mild)...

The Bible doesn’t tell us what his problem was, but the apostle Paul had something physically wrong with him. He asked for healing, but God said, “My grace is sufficient for you.” We can never understand the reason, but not everyone will be healed. If God’s grace was enough for Paul, it is certainly enough for us. I pray that you can find comfort in His grace

@thirddantkd yes, I remember, and Paul also had fellow missionaries who were sick and didn't get miraculously healed. I don't think healing in this life is something that should be taken for granted, although it's nice to pray for people too.

I did not know they were like that. That's not right. It's no wonder that people turn away from the church if the writings are being misused like that. None are perfect but I suggest a change of Christian Faith

Some of the Pentecostal Churches have gone severely off the rails with the nonsense they preach and teach. I agree with you that the Gospel is so much more than personal gain.
