I Should Go to Church Again

I'm a Pentecostal Christian but not the name-it claim-it type that fills up most of the churches in my area. That makes me a real misfit.

According to their theology and their way of putting Bible verses together, faith would fix the (mostly mild) seizures and anything else that's wrong with me.

Well too bad. I'm praying for something much bigger than my own healing - that God will soften their hearts and help them to understand that it's not always a person's fault when they don't get healed all at once. Also that the doctors will give me proper treatment and stop the stigmatizing. But most of all, that churches will stop pulling Bible passages out of context and misapplying them.

The Bible doesn’t tell us what his problem was, but the apostle Paul had something physically wrong with him. He asked for healing, but God said, “My grace is sufficient for you.” We can never understand the reason, but not everyone will be healed. If God’s grace was enough for Paul, it is certainly enough for us. I pray that you can find comfort in His grace

@thirddantkd yes, I remember, and Paul also had fellow missionaries who were sick and didn't get miraculously healed. I don't think healing in this life is something that should be taken for granted, although it's nice to pray for people too.
