No not at all

Oxford dictionary defines religion as a pursuit or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance. So, when people assume that to be religious you have to have something to do with associating with a specific group of people, or have a god, or practice some specific set of rituals they are only narrowing their understanding of what it means to be religious. Probably half of the organized religions are atheistic. Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, whereas others leave it up to the individual, like Scientology and Hinduism. Even with other religions like Judaism, Shinto and Christianity many of the adherents don't believe in a god but attend for social, traditional, or other reasons, including financial. It's about community.

I personally believe that everyone is religious in this sense, so while I consider myself religious in that way I have never and would never belong to any organized religious or political group.

I have VERY strong beliefs. Mainly, I believe in God, and I believe in His love and His capacity for forgiveness. However, I can't seem to find a religion that doesn't annoy the living "F" out of me...🤣🤣🤣

@4meAndyou that's nice

I'm more philosophical than religious.

As I see it, philosophy and religion have one commonality and that's having something to believe in.

One key difference with philosophy is that philosophical beliefs aren't strictly limited to any belief in God.

@Sidewinder obviously religion have some strictness which lead the world to humanity or else we would be animals

Yes.

It is evident when I try to get Christians to focus on the founder of this branch, rather than always quoting someone / something else.

I believe Jesus and trust in the Atonement He secured on the cross..
SpectralMourning · 41-45, M
No. Was raised by parents that had faith but have never really had any myself.

I can successfully argue that a kind of natural afterlife is real. I don't believe in magic at all.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
Nature is my religion

I was religious once - indulged in the Baptist brand of so-called Christianity in my late teens - then I saw through the hypocrisy of religion and escaped from the cult. That was 30+ years ago and I've been bible-tox-free ever since.
Spiritual but not religious

By practice, but the way I see what matters about it transcends religion
shinyplasticlove · 51-55, M
Nope. I don't believe in any of that.

Too many religions and not enough faith
