i think you should just be upfront with them and say you want to dial back on drinking for personal reasons. if they keep pushing it then they're super lame anyway

@Lostpoet they want to go out drinking because their brother died? still doesn't mean you have to drink. you can be there with them and be supportive as they mourn, just order a soda instead

@Frostcloud They aren't trying to go out drinking it's very hard to overdose on liquor. They are just in mourning this isn't the only brother they lost. I've never Lost a family member so I don't know how it feels, but I knew his brother and I had no idea what he was going through

@Frostcloud I don't know how and I don't know what to say to him because I don't know how to feel. I think that if I did things differently then his brother would still be here.
