Gods. There’s probably more than one. And they probably aren’t father figures. And if they had any sense they’d hate us.

Imagine creating a world and a million things to live in it. And then one of your creations gets above their station, starts the believe the world is theirs. How would gods react? Division, illness, war, anything to remind them of their place.

Pray if you like. But do you really want the attention of a god?
