I was listening to the chatter on the train this morning. It was all a bit religious.

Where I live they have a Christian god. He’s starting to get pushed out by Muslim and Hindu gods. Before the Christian god we had Saxon gods. Before the saxon gods we had Roman Gods, and before these gods there was Celt gods. And even they weren’t the first gods worshiped here.

So somewhere there could be a load of old gods sitting around doing absolutely nothing.

There was a seagull this morning that plucked a croissant right out of a woman’s hand on the platform. He’s doing alright and he doesn’t pray to anyone.

Gods, eh?

In Luke 12.24, Jesus said that God feeds the ravens. Apparently he takes care of seagulls, too.

@daydeeo Maybe. But who is Luke and why should he be trusted?
daydeeo · 61-69, M
@Morvoren He was a physician who decided to follow Jesus. You would have to read what he wrote - the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts - and decide for yourself if he is trustworthy or not.

@daydeeo No I’ve not read it. This first century Syrian just doesn’t have any answers.
daydeeo · 61-69, M
@Morvoren Billions of people the world over across many centuries disagree with you. 😊
Morvoren · F
@daydeeo Billions also agree. And as time goes on the number that agree are increasing.

@Morvoren If the billions who disagree have read him, and the billions who agree have not, who has a sounder basis for their opinion?
Morvoren · F
@daydeeo What about the billions who lived before it was written?
daydeeo · 61-69, M
@Morvoren You haven't answered my question yet.
Morvoren · F
@daydeeo Thats true as I countered it with another point.
