Not the least bit religious, but very spiritual.

@Mardrae What is the difference?
@sree251 It's something religious people say because they don't like the word religious.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LordShadowfire Most of us like to be part of a group and want to be identified as adherents of one religion or another. Then, there are others who think they are special and can transcend the group.

Take this forum, for instance. Some denizens here feel they are not part of the folks here despite being a rabbit in a rabbit warren. Do you get the drift?

@sree251 a spiritual person believes in a "Higher power " or God, and has their own way of communicating and having a relationship with that entity. A religious person belongs to a certain religion, follows their man made rules, goes to their congregation, gives them money, etc etc
@sree251 That wouldn't be a slam on certain people who have a certain perspective uncertain issues pertaining to certain people, would it?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LordShadowfire I think it would. You are either with us or you are against us.
Mardrae · F
@LordShadowfire oh heavens no 🙄
@sree251 "Us" being MAGAts...
Mardrae · F
@LordShadowfire I don't know what that means
@Mardrae "Make America Great Again" Trump supporters.
Mardrae · F
@LordShadowfire I'm for Trump.
@Mardrae Why!?
Mardrae · F
@LordShadowfire Honestly I know nothing about politics, but all I know is that when Trump was president, I could afford gas and groceries and now I can't. Now we have a president with dementia and taxes, gas, groceries, everything has jacked up. I can't afford to live anymore but I don't qualify for government assistance.
@Mardrae
...all I know is that when Trump was president, I could afford gas and groceries and now I can't.
And that level of ignorance is what Trump relies on. The GOP screwed up the economy during his term of office, as they are wont to do, but in a way that took a long time to take effect. Plus you're blaming Biden for the global price of oil, which causes everything else to be more expensive. He doesn't control OPEC.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LordShadowfire
He doesn't control OPEC.
The US has more oil in the ground than OPEC combined, not to mention our strategic reserves. Besides, we control the Mid-East. They all, except Iran, know that they are installed at our pleasure and can be deposed anytime we want thru the CIA.
@sree251
The US has more oil in the ground than OPEC combined, not to mention our strategic reserves.
Oh, sure, let's pollute the air even more by refining our own oil instead of working to eliminate our dependence on it.
Besides, we control the Mid-East.
Did they get the memo? Seems like they missed it.
Mardrae · F
@LordShadowfire I may not know anything about politics but it's incredibly disrespectful of you to call me ignorant.
@Mardrae Why? Ignorant just means you don't know. If I was trying to be disrespectful, I can think of a number of names I'd call you before I would use the word ignorant.
