A Roman temple discovered under Leicester cathedral. Pretty cool.

Also confirms the belief that most of the Christian sites in Europe are appropriated pagan sites. People could have been singing and praying in these spaces for even longer than recorded history would have us believe.

This is brilliant. Nice post.

I expect lots of things we do has deep roots. People tossing coins into a well and making a wish is no different to people sacrificing small valuable objects into rivers asking for a safe crossing. This stuff is an adventure waiting to happen.
