A Roman temple discovered under Leicester cathedral. Pretty cool.

Also confirms the belief that most of the Christian sites in Europe are appropriated pagan sites. People could have been singing and praying in these spaces for even longer than recorded history would have us believe.

My history teacher in primary school taught us that. It makes total sense because it supported a smoother transition from one faith to the other. People would not just let go of their old temples and start worshipping in new ones. Even the Parthenon at one point was a Christian church. Archaeology is so fascinating.
