Trump is nothing like Jesus. He doesn't even care for the sick and poor or about feeding the homeless and he talks about building walls instead of welcoming and helping migrants.

@Peaceandnamaste How many migrants are you welcoming into your home? They have to live somewhere: Roadside tents during a homeless crisis and pandemic won't do it. Open borders advocates need to step up to the plate here.

@Peaceandnamaste Enjoy your new migrant neighbors.

@sunsporter1649 I don't get why Christians vote for a guy that talks about Grabbing women's P's and also about injecting disinfectants and Sunlight in the lungs to cure Covid.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Peaceandnamaste And to think you believe that, too. Amusing

@Peaceandnamaste Were we supposed to vote for "Come on, man, I thought you liked me!" See: Reade, Tara.

@Peaceandnamaste how many have you asked ? Did you truly listen ?
I’d assume at least half of the 80 mill votes he got were from Christians.

There are over 8 Billion people on the planet and over 1 billion of them are in Central and South America. Should all of those people be welcomed in America? If so, when would America cease to be America?

The interesting thing is that Puerto Ricans are America citizens but their island is a crappy place to live. Only a few have actually bothered to move to the mainland, which they could do within the next minute if they wanted to, leaving the island empty. That way they won't have to cope with nasty hurricanes every couple of years, like they are doing now. So, they have a free pass but won't use it. I wonder why?

BTW, the Jesus character never did do a damn thing for the poor people.

@Diotrephes I agree w everything you said , but he did supposedly feed his followers fish from the Sea of Galilee one time .

@swirlie
Why? Because Puerto Rican's are all too familiar with the illusion America has created of itself since the time of Eisenhower and quite frankly, I don't blame them for not wanting to use that so-called 'free pass' to gain entry to a circus tent.
Well, that's an explanation but you would think that they would get sick and tired of being flooded with mud every couple of years when they can freely move anywhere on the mainland.

@swirlie Gee, plenty of water around california, look at a map sometime
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@swirlie California certainly has an abundance of problems. I wonder why they don't build a series of desalination plants along the coast?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Diotrephes It's not like the Pacific Ocean came to california last Monday

@swirlie Ever heard of desalination plants?

Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@swirlie
They do! But everyone owns a lawn irrigation system out there, so those desalination plants have a hard time keeping up with the strong demand!
Actually there are only 12 desalination plants in all of California. They keep nixing new ones because they don't want to make the ocean saltier than it is and they don't want to pay up to $5 for 1,000 gallons of fresh water.

Part of the problem is that everyone lies about what it really costs and who it will benefit.

In the end agriculture will collapse and people will die from lack of water.

@swirlie
Did you know that the entire mid-west of the USA including the State of Texas, is supplied by fresh water delivered by a giant aqua-duct from Canada?
Sounds very interesting. Can you provide more information? I'm not up to speed on that issue.

@Diotrephes wow you sound like a republican, South Americans are Native Americans too.

You should have paid attention in high school civics classes. Only citizens of the United States of America are Americans. People in other countries are French, Canadians, Mexicans, Cubans, Panamanians, Colombians, Brazilians, Peruvians, Uruguayans, Argentinians, Chileans, Bolivians, Ecuadorians, Venezuelans but they are not Americans and the indigenous people in those countries are not "Native Americans." They had nothing to do with the creation of America.
