The Quran explicitly approves of slavery, and using non Muslim women as sex slaves. If you believe the book is perfect you must by definition believe slavery is not a only acceptable, but divinely inspired. ISIS wasn’t extremist; they were very much following the book as intended.

And this is only one of the least problematic ideologies in a book that is essentially the equivalent of mein kampf for Arabs.

So lets do a logical analysis of the quran. The quran was written by one man. It is an outlier in that no other religious text agrees with it or points to it. In fact several religious texts warn against it.

The writer of the quran is not to be doubted or questioned or even thought about other than to someone who should be emulated. Any sexual immorality or theft or killing known to have been done by said individual is to be completely ignored.

The writer of the quran often contradicts himself and even withdrew several passages of the quran saying that he was fooled by the devil when he proclaimed them.

The followers of quran are constantly looking for justification of their erroneous belief by dragging other texts or subjects not related or found in the quran claiming them to be proof of the correctness of the quran. Thus the quran followers try to quote the Bible (a book they say is corrupted ) and science a subject they know nothing about to support their unquestioning trust in the quran.

To question the quran or the author of the quran (mohammed was an illiterate brigand and a sexual deviant) is taboo. The followers of the quran can not question it nor can they stand for anyone else to question it. If you question it or the author of it you are likely to have a fatwa pronounced upon you and you don't know the day of the hour when some zealot will cut your head off.

The funny part is the the quran's author tried to use the Jewish Torah as the basis of many of his proscriptions. Very strange how he tried to be Jewish but hated Jews.

Now what does the Bible say? The son of the slave woman shall not inherit the kingdom. Who is the son of the slave woman? The very one that the author of the quran tried to trace his religious heritage to. Thus the quran and all its 'laws' are ineffective in gaining right standing with God.

Actually, the ordering of the books in the Quran follows the same rationale as the ordering of Paul's letters in the bible: the books go from longest to shortest. (A few exception with Paul, when two letters are addressed to the same community.) And the reason this was common, not just in religious literature, was that writing materials were difficult to obtain. So people wrote the longer works first, while papyrus, vellum, or paper was in supply, and then proceeded to shorter and shorter works as they used up their pile. This would apply to all the copyists through the ages, for both the Quran and the Bible, and thus that order came to be traditional.
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
@DrWatson when the writing of Mohamed were compiled they were arranged arbitrarily from longest to shortest. The order was decided after and not done intentionally by the prophet.

@MuslimBarbie I'm sure, it looks like you misunderstood me. What I meant is: you're brainwashed.
Critics argue, verses which allegedly explain modern scientific facts, about subjects such as biology, the origin and history of the Earth, and the evolution of human life, contain fallacies and are unscientific.[77][78][79]

As of 2008, both Muslims and non-Muslims have disputed whether there actually are "scientific miracles" in the Quran. Muslim critics of the movement include Indian Islamic theologian Maulana Ashraf ‘Ali Thanvi, Muslim historian Syed Nomanul Haq, Muzaffar Iqbal, president of Center for Islam and Science in Alberta, Canada, and Egyptian Muslim scholar Khaled Montaser.[80] The movement has been dismissed as the product of a “deep, deep inferiority complex”, “apologia of the worst type.”

Pakistani theoretical physicist Pervez Hoodbhoy writes that

the problem with such claims to ownership is that they lack an explanation for why quantum mechanics, molecular genetics, etc., had to await discovery elsewhere. Nor is any kind of testable prediction ever made. No reason is offered as to why antibiotics, aspirin, steam engines, electricity, aircraft, or computers were not first invented by Muslims. But even to ask such questions is considered offensive.[81][80]

Critics argue that while it is generally agreed the Quran contains many verses proclaiming the wonders of nature, it requires "considerable mental gymnastics and distortions to find scientific facts or theories in these verses" (Ziauddin Sardar);[60]

that the Quran is the source of guidance in right faith (iman) and righteous action (alladhina amanu wa amilu l-salihat) but the idea that it contained "all knowledge, including scientific" knowledge has not been a mainstream view among Muslim scholarship (Zafar Ishaq Ansari);[62][need quotation to verify]

"Science is ever-changing ... the Copernican revolution overturning polemic models of the universe to Einstein's general relativity overshadowing Newtonian mechanisms".[8] So while "Science is probabilistic in nature" the Quran deals in "absolute certainty". (Ali Talib);[86]

Nidhal Guessoum has also been highly critical of "pseudo-scientific claims" made about the Quran.[52]

Critics also argue that some classical beliefs based on interpretations of the Quran have been abandoned following the introduction of modern technology/science in the Muslim world. Nidhal Guessoum points out (as noted above), that a literal interpretation of some Quranic verses indicates that before a baby is born its gender is known only to God, i.e. is Al-Ghaib. This was what Muslims believed for centuries, but ultrasound technology has "led many Muslims to realize that first-degree readings of the Quran can lead to contradictions and predicaments".[
Science is a methodology, not a collection of results. So even if you can interpret verses in this or that holy book to imply Schrodinger's Equation, you don't have the methodology that led Schrodinger to propose his equation nor the methodology that tested it.
Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. When someone says 'science teaches such and such', he is using the word incorrectly. Science doesn't teach it; experience teaches it.
A question for the people who are reacting to this post, bcz they have nothing to say.
What would u like to say about the scientific signs mentioned in the Quran!
Is that all already mentiomed in the bible and could Muhammed have known all that?
@MuslimBarbie I'll give it to you that point 4 is interesting, if true. I can't read Arabic though, so I can't judge how detailed and accurate it is. The other reasons are very weak as proof.
@NerdyPotato okay, good u like atleast one.
Its fine if u dont understand or know arabic...
I suggest u to try reading this, it includes all details regarding point 4.

@MuslimBarbie it starts out with two reasonable descriptions, but it starts falling apart afterwards. I'm no expert on confluxes, but think there is a small amount of mixing and there is definitely no barrier between the oceans. Comparing a baby to a leech is fair, but starting with an extract from clay is plain false. Sending iron down can just as well be interpreted as moving iron from mines to settlements and doesn't have to refer to a meteorite.

And then there is the issue of confirmation bias. A few examples of accurate predictions are interesting, but as there are other predictions that didn't come true, it looks more like a buckshot with a few lucky hits.

So even the most intriguing of your 9 arguments does not prove anything.

We should expect the proof for our reality to consist of more than some greatly exaggerated claims about a book.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@SW-User If you cant answer the question then just admit it, it's alright to be weak and spineless.
SW-User
@Allelse Now you're attacking two people. Point proven. You deserve nothing.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@SW-User See if you had any conviction then you'd have a problem with 12 year old girls being raped and beaten, but obviously you're all for it, or else you'd have something to say.
So, I'm going to address these one by one, because I'm bored.

1. In your opinion.

2. WTF is divine order? That sounds like some bullshit somebody made up.

3. You mean one person wrote it instead of 60 or 70. Big deal. I've written fiction before.

4. I'd love to hear you explain the science behind riding a flying horse to the moon to cut it in half with a sword.

5. Big whoop. It's been copied perfectly. I can name half a dozen books like that. Are they all inspired by your particular god?

6. It's popular, therefore it's right? What a joke. I can think of several books that are more popular. Do they also contain the divine truth?

7. Okay, so it's got some shit in it that nobody knows where it came from. Automatically that means it came from your god?

8. Prove it.
@LordShadowfire another angle on 3: that means there were no witnesses to verify the message came from Allah or whether the retelling was accurate, with no details added or left out. In court, a single statement about something with no witnesses, would hold fairly little value and extraordinary claims require more proof than the average criminal trial. I'd say a single witness account on something like a conversation with a god holds no value at all, especially to support something as big as how the entirety of humanity must live their lives.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
I heard that they copied the bible and just changed some details and names.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@MuslimBarbie so I can't believe this post?
@Dan193 I am not lying so, basically check for yourself.
Read the Quran, bcz I am human, but thats the word of God.

I already told you, it's just fan fiction written by a warlord come cult leader based off of Jewish mythology. It's not real. And there are FAR better written books than the quran,
Entwistle · 56-60, M
Do you believe in a flying horse with face of a human?
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Entwistle yes, Camilla is Queen Consort now after all.
