No. The Big Bang, proposes, supported by accelerated universal expansion, that at one point in time, our universe was condensed into a single point of light. For how long? no one knows. Then an event that lasted one picosecond (10 to the power -12 of a second), the point of light, to explode into a massive fireball, getting the early universe started. The mass created at that moment in time, kept expanding, and 13.8 Billion years or so later, it is our universe. The universe continues to expand.

The Big Bang was modeled by Catholic (Christian Jesuit) Priest in the early 20th century.

Well basically u are Saying what this verse is saying.
Its deep, let me explain...

U said 'our universe was condesnsed into a single point of light
Thats what this verse is explaining; everything we see in our universe, the skies, heavens and earths all where in that one point, that one place, joined, the big bang, that explosion happened and Allah seprated the heavens and the earth, when once they were joined as one entity.

This Quran is truth, How could have Muhammed known this or ever said this using his brain, it was revealed from God.

We find it in the Qur’an 1443 years ago.
Holy Qur’an [21:30]: “Do the disbelievers not realize that the heavens and earth were ˹once˺ one mass then We split them apart? And We created from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?”

And yes u are right the universe is expanding and that too is mentioned in the Quran.

@MuslimBarbie No, nothing you see in the universe existed before the Big Bang.

Nothing.

Expansion brought matter into being.... principally hydrogen and helium.

No matter was ‘joined’ (whatever that is supposed to mean) because there was no matter, and besides it was the Big Bang that allowed spacetime to exist, so that introduced relative positioning.
@newjaninev2 So did this all happen on its own?
@newjaninev2 expansion of what?
@MuslimBarbie

1) whether or not the big bang is sufficient to explain the origin of existence it is plain that this verse from the Quran does not describe the event known as the big bang

2) in terms of origins, if one accepts an uncaused caused such as a god, there is no logical argument which one can use to then reject another uncaused cause such as the big bag.
That is to say, if a god can be eternal and without beginning then so too can the universe.
The big bag is simply the point of local expansion.

Not even remotely.

He got it from another made up story, the Book of Genesis, chapter 1.

The Qur'an is mostly excerpts from the Old and New Testament, updated for the time. Revolutionary, for the time, in giving women rights. Unfortunately, it never evolved.

Same with Surah Adh-Dhariyat 47. Lifted from the Old Testament.

Yes.

@MuslimBarbie expansion of space time. There was nothing, no thing before the Big Bang. No space, no time. Nothing
