Ever tried fasting?

What kind did you try or heard people do
purpleheart31 · 36-40, F
Yes and honestly, it's not as bad as many think!

I have done the 16/8 approach. I would start eating around 11am and by 7pm, I would then stop for the next 16 hours (which included mostly sleeping)! I do not usually eat breakfast anyways so... starting at 11am was perfect!

I did not track what I was eating as some/most do! Listen to your body.

When I was religious I used to fast on Good Friday, ate nothing but drank water.
jacklost1983 · 36-40, M
@JimboSaturn I also once called mayself religios. so why you are not anymore?
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@jacklost1983 I just started to examine my faith and found inconsistencies. I slowly started drifting away from orthodoxy and eventually dropped religion altogether.

Only a couple times, usually on the sabbath day because I wouldn’t need as much strength as I don’t work on the sabbath day

No way could I do that
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
@AmericanBroad I have had to do it for medical procedures' and realized it was not as hard as one would thing.
In summer it can be hard. I did that for almost 40 days. I got inflammation. Also its bad idea to drink alcohol on empty stomach.
Dan509 · 26-30, M
I've done both a two and five day fast, not as hard as I thought it would be
