Sabbath day

The Sabbath day is a delight, a gift from God, a day to enjoy the fruits of your labor without laboring, to have peace and neither work nor feel compelled to work

You are now among the Saturday people? 🤔
th3r0n · 41-45, M
@sarabee1995 remember friend, I don't go with a denomination or agreed upon school of thought, I just read the Bible, believe it, and try to follow it
sarabee1995 · 31-35, F
@th3r0n Yes, I understand that. And agree with it. My question is why you are taking Sunday as day 1 of your work week? My work week has always begun with Monday.
th3r0n · 41-45, M
@sarabee1995 I do in fact work Sunday every chance I get, including today and a week ago today

Sounds good, but it was invited by Judao-Christian religions.
th3r0n · 41-45, M
@samueltyler2 not at all, God made the heavens and the earth in six days and rested on the seventh

You will say man made these things, but those are nothing but air from your lungs to one who knows the Living God and has witnessed miracles done by Him

You would sooner persuade a man he does not exist than to persuade one who has witnessed the power of God that He does not exist

@th3r0n interesting, you are trying to put words into my mouth. You might want to spend a little time studying other religions, those not based on JudeoChristian teachings.
th3r0n · 41-45, M
@samueltyler2 that's like saying men should study teachings saying we evolved from lizards but more ridiculous

I have found the God who gives power over unclean spirits to cast them out and Who does miracles for His people, that which I have seen witnessed and done is not up for debate

Why would I want to study lies after finding truth? There is no wisdom in your words
Honestly, life just gets so busy, i take a break when the situation or opportunity arises.
There is too much to do to be able to free up a certain day every week and 'do nothing'.

I wish it were that easy😟

@OogieBoogie we have time for what we make time for

I might have thought the same at some point but I get more done now that I rest properly once a week
@th3r0n i get that its nice you can organize your life to suit your beliefs, and that it benefits you greatly .

Thats wonderful 🤗

But my life isnt yours.
I have a brain that 1. Is a bit neuro divergent, 2.time blind, and 3. very creatively or empathically distractable.
Put trauma from domestic violence on top of that - and i can all but barely 'adult' and 'human' correctly enough to fit into societies demands of functionality.

Telling me in so many words that 'im not doing it right' is honestly.... hurtful.

Im doing the best i can, with what ive got.
And its a damn sight better than slitting my wrists which is what i wanted to do for over two years.

Im humaning to the best of my abilty, trying to stay sane, be kind, .... keep a roof over my head.

Please remember that not everyone can walk the path you have gotten to..... yet.

@OogieBoogie it's not like I have things perfect myself, and I think I'm autistic also, thankfully have not been physically abused, but I suck with sense of time and so very many times I failed to properly prepare for Sabbath

But it's not "you're doing it wrong" so much as that the Sabbath helps rather than hurts when you make time for it
