Respect. A real man respects a lady, if a man respects her, she will respect him just the same. It does go both ways. We also expect trust and loyalty too. If a man cannot offer that, there is a reason for it. Also, boundaries. Many women tend to overlook this, but boundaries are important, where you should expect him to respect your boundaries, as the same is for him. If you could build on a relationship with these as your principles, you've got a good start.

For me stability and similar values is the biggest thing.
