Why can't love be real

I concur. Most men are self serving, and use women until they have no more use for them. I was told this when I was young. I never believed it. It took to my late 50s before I saw the truth. Some of us are late learners. @LadyBronte

@Carissimi Yes. I finally learned my lesson too. Too late, it appears. I am normally not a mean person, but I hope karma gets a hold of the one who taught me that final lesson, lets him experience exactly what he foist upon me - no more, no less - and that painfully debilitating, experience lasts as long has mine is lasting. He was by far old enough and intelligent enough to know exactly what he was doing, to know the effect his lies and deceit would have on my life. He simply didn't care. *shrug*

I’m so sorry. It took 5-years to get over the heartache of the last man was in love with. He was the last, and I was done. I could never put myself through that again, and especially at this age. Time is too short to fall in love, and go through years of that misery again. It’s a hard lesson to learn, and I regret not learning it at a young age. @LadyBronte
