Women who seek sugar daddies, hoping they get showed with money in exchange they suck their dicks, wouldn't that makes them prostitutes?

Exchanging money for sexual services, yeah that's prostitution.

The term prostitution are tabooed in such groups. In my sugarbook experience we all act as if the provider is helping you out on something(mostly financial/rent) where in return companionship is provided. Sex is not always guaranteed.
lakshsony · 31-35, F
it doesn't always work that way. being a sugar baby is a lifestyle. a sugar baby is a person who shares a transactional relationship with an older individual, and the two share a mutually beneficial relationship in which the sugar baby seeks financial support in exchange for companionship and, in some cases, a sexual relationship. They can be short-term and long-term relationships.

I ain’t gonna lie, we are all prostitiutes on some scale.

If you want to see it this way... just about every relationship can be viewed as the same thing.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@HootyTheNightOwl marriage was originally something of a financial arrangement as well. Finances are pervasive in our culture
@ViciDraco Yep... That's why we had cousins and siblings marrying each other.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@HootyTheNightOwl well, aside from the royal families and mobility of Europe it was common in isolated villages and tribes because everyone was your sibling or cousin 😅 Thankfully most of the world is beyond those days!

Anything "forced" or demanded is just plain weird. The babies I dealt with often have a choice to walk away with just the money. This makes it more rewarding when it finally happens. The sensation of her choosing to be with you instead of just taking the money.
MaybelChong · 46-50, F
@AlvinoMartins Let's say she really need the money and do not want the sex. Will there be generous people to help her in the sugar platforms like let say sugarbook??? Even if she does it consensually, how is it not prostitution since she wont have done if without the money.

I mean I guess so, same kinda idea, sexual favours in exchange for money
lakshsony · 31-35, F
@Rizz2k23 isn't every relationship almost the same? we all expect something from one another. some need love, sex, money and many more. as long as we respect our partners and treat them the way they deserve, it should be fine.
calicuz · 51-55, M
Technically no, you don't pay a prostitute for sex, you pay her to go away.
Wouldn’t that make any woman a prostitute? Think of a stay at home mother? Or a woman with a husband with a high income who works just to be out of the house but he provides more than a comfortable lifestyle? Or a man who take a woman to dinner to get laid after, buys her a bag or pair of heels?
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@CDStephanieNJ No. Only the last case.
lakshsony · 31-35, F
@CDStephanieNJ at least sugar babies make their own rules and some income. they are able to experience most people will never get to experience in their lifetime especially housewives. I've known a SB who's been to different countries, and when she travel with a wealthy man, the luxuries she experience on their dime, in contrast to ours, are in a completely different tax bracket
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I can't imagine someone thinking about it some other way. It's clear to both sides what's it about, so..?
If they weren't sugar daddies then it would be just a normal relationship, right?
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@CrazyMusicLover I'm honestly not sure where the definition lies. If a 45 year old man is with a 20 year old woman where does the line get drawn?

If he pays for her college and they only really meet for sex, it feels like prostitution and probably falls under sugar daddy.

If he pays for her college and they live together and go on dates and act like a real couple it feels more like age gap relationship, but does that fall under sugar daddy? Where does the distinction fall apart?
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@ViciDraco
only really meet for sex
is the crucial part.
From what I heard there's usually some kind of formal agreement between the two. They set rules etc. Relationships form more organically and lack the clear transactional factor I guess.
MaybelChong · 46-50, F
@ViciDraco there will be no way to regulate this. I start to think adult got to be adults and make the right move.
deadgerbil · 22-25
Yup. It's a very shallow relationship that's marginally deeper than someone getting picked up on a street corner, but it's still the same stuff
Oster1 · M
A real sugar daddy wth means is not stupid! He's way more careful. Just wonder why. This is a myth, for most women.
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
Yes except I feel prostitutes have more control over their fate, at least the independent ones.

Pretty much, yeah. They just have longer term employment and probably, but not necessarily, an exclusive client expectation.
