I'm sorry you are going through a painful breakup. Breakups are never easy. They always hurt and often leave permanent scars on us emotionally. This isn't going to be what you want to hear now but I can assure you that you are far better off finding out that he is not the right one for you after a few years than had it gone on longer and you find out after 10 or 20 or 30 years.

It sounds impossible now but there will be a time you look back at this and are thankful it happened because it lead to something much better for you that wouldn't have happened if you had remained with him.
