You're married but realize after five years it was a mistake. Counseling failed, and you don't love them, but they still love you. What do you do?

If he loves me i would stay and make my marriage work. It's not easy to find love anymore.
Neither of us would be happy in that situation. So I’d cut my losses and move on. No use staying and making it an even bigger mistake.

I'd do my best to rekindle the love, but if that doesn't work then it would be best if we split up.

As heart breaking as it is you walk away, you don’t deserve to spend your life being unhappy to make them happy and they deserve someone who wants to be with them

You took an oath before God and your family. "Til death do us part".... those vows aren't just words, they're a promise. You have to make it work.

Wow!! Love is associated with so many actions, emotions, reactions, consequences and all.. look for the reasons what's changed what's missing what's the new requirement etc

Tell myself that there must have been something there at first, or that if they love me, that's a sign I should love them back.

End it. Life is too short to spend any of it being miserable.
If there are children involved , you make it work ... don't screw up their lives ...
@BrandNewMan Understood. It doesn't have to be that way. It takes work and compromise for both people. It can be done .It's not perfect but it can be done.
@catastrophecarnival Yeah. Problem is, thats often the reason a marriage doesnt work in the first place as one or both partners are unable to manage that.

True story.
@BrandNewMan that is true ..
