I Am Married But Lonely

Being married has a dark side. One knows the flaws of the other. One knows the other's weak spots, and one knows what will break the other.

He knows what makes me cry. He knows what will push me to the edge. So he does it. He pushes and watches me cry in pain as he heartlessly lays there and goes to sleep. He says he loves me ...
Sorry to hear that. I feel ya there, as I went through that myself. Have you considered telling him how he makes you feel?
@dewkissedrose: Maybe you both need a date night together, or space like a day off from each other. Sorry not trying to sound like I'm telling you what to do, but just suggesting. I understand the drain it can be, it's exhausting I know. I spent years trying to fix that in my marraige.

Tonight was supposed to be our date night. Now I could care less.

It's so hard when the one that is supposed to be guarding your weakness, instead exploits it. The thought of you crying quietly while he turns his back tears at my heart.

Thank you for your kind words.

Keep your head up. You are stronger than his BS.
He is cruel and heartless, would you ever treat him in such a manor? You wear your disguise well couple weekend together set the story of a beautiful marriage....As horrible as it sounds sometimes people will give what you will accept... Hoping thing work out

I know the exact same feeling. I try to put on a brave face, but behind the face is pain, anger, frustration.

@dewkissedrose: are you sure he does it knowingly and on purpose?
My wife often tells me the same thing - that I know what drives her crazy and I keep doing it.
But my problem is that I'm acting naturally, I have no intent to hurt her, at that moment I simply don't have time to reflect back and analyze my own actions and words.
I understand it doesn't help you, but does it make sense?
Dewkissedrose · 46-50, F
Actually, yes. He does things out of spite. He will admit that.
har7070 · 51-55, M
@dewkissedrose: do you know what prompts it? Inner cruelty or a desire for a revenge for something?
Dewkissedrose · 46-50, F
He just gets so mad he want to tick me off more. He will tell me he wants to work things out but then continue the spitefulness. I told him I refuse to work things out if he cannot act like he cares about me instead of trying to bug me.

Some people get to thinking marriage is a license to be cruel. Sorry to hear your story... hope you find strength.
