Is it better to wait until marriage before having sexual intimacy?

I feel like there are some benefits: getting to know each other and fall in love without the pressures of physical intimacy. No unplanned pregnancies ( hopefully people use family planning and contraception after the wedding takes place so no unintended pregnancies then or get sterilized before the wedding if they don’t want children. ) . There are more legal protections in a marriage. It’s just less risky all around. It takes a lot of patience and practice in self control. On the other hand, some people say sexual compatibility might be an issue discovered later. Your thoughts? I personally think waiting until marriage before you have full fledged sexual intimacy is romantic and sweet. Sure it’s old fashioned but it can also give you something to look forward to in your love life. It just depends on what the person wants and is looking for.

I waited, but my wife didn't. I wish I had not waited, but she is glad that I did. Confused yet?
