If you want to see if your bf/gf is marriage material get them to help you assemble flat pack furniture.

If you can do that without murdering each other you'll be fine.

I once spent a day trying to build some flat pack, but the instructions didn't make any sense. I called the store and the customer service guy actually said, "Ah, that's the instruction manual with the missing page."

@Richard65 I'm a writer of user manuals, and I put a lot of effort into each manual. Each sentence is important, each word is important and must be carefully chosen. What you said is an outraging example of incompetence, and an embarrassment to the business. 🤬

@helenS We had some lab equipment made in Japan. The user manuals were translated from Japanese to German, and then from German to English. Grest equipment, but the manuals were only useful as door stops.

@helenS they obviously knew the problem as he told me a page was missing from the manual. I asked him why they hadn't rectified it if they knew a page was missing. It's just laziness and incompetence. I agree.

@Lugwho I wouldn't be too surprised if the first translation (Japanese to German) had been done using Google Translate, and then again Google Translate German=>English... 👎🏼
