How do you know if you're 'marriage material '?
What causes a person to believe that they have what it takes?

It is a good question and well worded.
I am not on the mareket and I am not sure on a personal level if I am or am not but:
going for me
good income
in good shape
emotionally stable
way less baggage than most people my age
animal lover (noticed women put a high value on that)
going against me
balding
teeth issues
age
atheist
not want (or have) kids
conservative with money (less inclined to spend then most people)
would say I am just less than avg looking but not overweight
I like the question a lot though because I feel that phrase gets thrown around in dating world and even on places like this. It is seems to be someone asking if you are marriage material without doing a self check on what they bring to the table .
In theory if you ask this question of someone you should also answer it in return.
